Christopher Guy

Christopher Guy is a British luxury interior design brand that produces designer furniture made from exotic woods grown in Indonesia as well as original accent pieces.

The brand's founder and director is British-born Christopher Guy Harrison. The designer grew up in the 70s on the shores of the French Riviera and from his youth he developed an eclectic aesthetic, combining French glamour with Southern casualness.

Christopher Guy production is based in Indonesia on Java, with headquarters in the United States. Most of the furniture and the famous collection of mirrors, for which the brand is famous, is made from guava wood. Its wood is difficult to work with, but is highly durable - and undoubtedly very beautiful. We cannot fail to mention the beautiful collection of mosaic panels, which will decorate any interior and accentuate the impeccable taste of the owner.

Various techniques of carving, lacquering and gilding are used as trimmings. Christopher Guy treats furniture with special reverence, considering it a key element in the design of space. Each piece is made by hand. A signature feature of Christopher Guy's wooden furniture is crossed X-shaped curved legs, which are repeated in many pieces of the collection. Another feature is the combination of a certain "oversizedness" with subtle, painstaking and filigree finishing.

The brand's signature style draws heavily on Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles; Christopher Guy himself has been described as a man of the world and has always been open to new trends in design and fashion. Interiors designed by Christopher Guy can be found all over the world in hotels of such prestigious chains as the Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt and Marriott. Each collection combines the achievements of the European and Asian tradition of craftsmanship: as Christopher Guy himself noted, people of all cultures and nationalities love his furniture.
